Opinion: Make America Great Again

On the night from the 8th to the 9th of November, an unexpected turn in the United States Elections took place. It was a shock for people who did not follow the process and woke on the 9th to the news!

What is happening in the USA? Donald Trump is the new president of the United States of America!

A racist, sexist and narcissistic candidate is taking the place of the first ever African-American President of USA. So what comes next? No one knows. Everybody is agitated about the results because his plans for the future seem unclear; how will a person like him act and react in certain situations? What political decisions is he capable of making?

The main question will be: Could he be a serious politician who other states can cooperate with? The answers seem debatable. The most important question is then: Can he be a serious politician with whom leaders of other countries can cooperate? The democratic world faces a lot of challenges nowadays, with the rise right-wing parties, right-wing extremism, the Brexit and the incidents in Turkey and now THIS.

The future is unpredictable. So let´s just hope that the motto: “Make America great again” does not end in a catastrophe!
