The UNHCR committee will address the pressing issue of “Internally Displaced Climate Refugees in South and Southeast Asia”. Climate change has triggered natural disasters and environmental degradation, leading to the displacement of millions of people in the region. The committee will discuss how to provide assistance and protection to these vulnerable populations, including the provision of shelter, food, water, and healthcare. Additionally, they will examine how to address the root causes of displacement and prevent further harm from climate change. This committee aims to find sustainable solutions to address the needs of internally displaced climate refugees in South and Southeast Asia.
