This year’s edition of TICS (Tübingen International Crisis Simulation) took place from 31.10. – 3.11. in, you guessed it, Tübingen. Especially excited about the Halloween Social, six members of MUN Mannheim took the speed train to make it just in time to be early for the early registrations. Well, good thing we had Prosecco to endure the wait.

WeiterlesenOn Friday 18th November noon, the MUN Mannheim delegation set off for Karlsruhe to attend KAMUN 2016. The KAMUN conferences have been a great conference for our MUN-first-timers ever since. And this year is no exception: 15 of our 20 delegates were looking forward to have their very first (university) MUN-experience.

WeiterlesenNine delegates of our society attended the 6th National MUN conference in Heidelberg from the 9th to the 10th of January. Consisting of three committees, SOCHUM, Security Council and European Council, the conference was small but certainly not less fun than the “big brothers” as regarding both the debates and the social on Saturday evening.
WeiterlesenOn November 6th, 30 delegates from MUN Mannheim departed from Mannheim to attend KaMUN conference in Karlsruhe. All delegates enjoyed the conference a lot, especially the majority of newcomers, for whom this Model UN conference was their first.
WeiterlesenMUN Mannheim member Max Welz used his summer holidays to participate at BerlINMUN, which was held in german capital Berlin in the first week of August. He represented the delegate of Italy in the Council of the European Union which dealt with the topic „Mare Europaeum - The need for a cohesive european migration strategy“ discussing a reform of european asylum policy. As we all know, refugees are daily drowning in the Mediterranean during their attempt to reach Europe, so this issue urgently needs to be discussed in real politics as well.
